Your asset records can be deeply personal. This notice explains what myHeritage processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
- Account information such as your email address, display name, authentication details, language, and timezone.
- Workspace content such as asset details, documents, valuations, costs, contacts, notes, reminders, workflows, and access settings.
- Service data such as device and browser information, IP address, log events, feature usage, error reports, and security events.
- Billing information processed by our payment provider when you subscribe to a paid plan. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, organize and display your workspace, authenticate users, process payments, deliver requested notifications, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and improve product reliability and usability.
4. AI-assisted features
If you choose to use an AI-assisted feature, the prompt and relevant context you submit may be sent to the AI provider configured for the service so it can generate a response. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for your request. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before you rely on it.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep account and workspace information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After deletion, information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, or records we must retain for legal and accounting purposes. Retention periods vary with the type of data and the reason it is processed.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can update common profile information in your account and manage team access from workspace settings.
To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
7. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access, team-scoped records, permission controls, encrypted transport, and access logging where supported. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Contact us if you have questions about this notice or how your information is handled.
